ION-GNSS

This is regarding the Institute of Navigation Symposium - GNSS sometime in September.
What would be the Return on Investment if i plan to attend the Symposium? Is it just one more Symposium or does it really provide somebody with something to bring back. Is it recommended to spend so much on a symposium?

I think the decision to attend the Symposium depends on what career path you want to pursue, as well as on your current job responsibilities.

Such Symposiums are good learning events since they help in picking up on latest technical trends, but most of all they are great networking opportunities.

In that sense it's hard to quantify the benefits, but it helps if one is going into it with established credentials in the respective field.

Either way, if you decide to spend the money and attend it, you may want to discuss with your accountant to find out whether the cost is tax deductible - as job seeking training.
